Torres Vedras City Council Privacy Policy
With the entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation, the Municipality of Torres Vedras reinforces the Privacy Policy of all those who interact with us. With the constant concern for the transparency and well-being of citizens, the Municipality of Torres Vedras, operates in areas as diverse as urbanism, environment, mobility, education or social action, among others. Therefore, the Municipality of Torres Vedras is responsible for the collection, registration, organization, structuring, conservation, alteration, recovery, consultation, use, dissemination by transmission, diffusion or any other form of availability, comparison or interconnection, limitation, erasure or destruction of personal data in the context of their municipal activity, which is linked to the Law. In this sense and in accordance with paragraph c) of article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation, the processing of personal data is lawful as it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation and is intended only for these purposes. Notwithstanding the above, whenever the municipal activity is not covered by the aforementioned law, the prior consent of the holder of the personal data will be requested, as follows:
1. The entity responsible for the processing of personal data is the Municipality of Torres Vedras.
2. Personal data consists of information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
3. The personal data we process depends on the framework of the interactions between Customers / Municipality of Torres Vedras, within the scope of the municipal activity and in the fulfillment of the duties that are legally committed to it, may consist of identification data (name, age, NIF, NCC / NBI), contacts (address, e-mail address, telephone / mobile phone number), geographic location data, image (video surveillance), voice (recording of telephone conversations).
4. The data collected is intended for processing by the Torres Vedras City Council, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with the privacy policy.
5. The Torres Vedras City Council may communicate personal data to third parties in strict compliance with its legal obligations, in the exercise of public authority functions or with its express consent.
6. Personal data will be kept for the legally required period.

Under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject is entitled, upon request, to clear information on the processing of data at the time of collection, access to the purpose, category, recipients, retention period, deletion, rectification, limitation , opposition and portability of your personal data.
